Rubio Vows to Take on “Blind Spot” Extremist Violence from the Political Left
The State Department is targeting on “Antifa” networks, officially labeling them foreign terrorists and warning that far-left violence always ends in a “gulag.”
The U.S. government is shifting its crosshairs from overseas cells directly onto far-left anarchists operating in the streets.
In a massive, Cold War-style escalation, Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced multi-million-dollar bounties to choke off anarchist funding and officially designated multiple violent far-left groups as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs).

With Antifa operating globally, Washington is launching a coordinated financial crackdown to dismantle these networks “brick by brick.”
Rubio declared that Western counterterrorism has suffered from a 25-year “blind spot,” treating far-left terrorism like a “right-wing fever dream” while radical networks quietly expanded.
“This is a distinctive and unique evil,” Rubio told a coalition of leaders from over 60 countries. “It is a revolt of the worst against the best. A revolt of the weak and the cowardly against the strong and the good.”
The administration is invoking the bloody history of the 1970s, pointing to Europe’s Red Brigades and Greece’s 17 November group (who famously assassinated an American CIA station chief), alongside U.S. domestic radicals like the Weather Underground.
Deputy Secretary Christopher Landau warned of a dangerous modern resurgence of these exact political networks.
Rubio said that far-left violence has jumped by more than 40 percent in Germany, while accounting for over 80 percent of radical violence in Greece.
Backing up the play, White House Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller warned that left-wing extremism “only travels in one direction,” and left unchecked, “always becomes a gulag.”
The leftist is fundamentally motivated by envy, by hatred, by jealousy.
“The leftist looks at what is beautiful and what is good and what is natural and is filled with envy and hatred. The leftist looks at a perfect family with a perfect life and a perfect job and perfect kids that goes to church every Sunday and is filled with a feeling of inadequacy and jealousy, and they covet. And they turn those emotions ultimately into a desire to subjugate, to oppress, and to inflict pain and suffering,” said Miller.
“It’s not a coincidence that when you look at these violent antifa demonstrations and you see any photograph of those who were assembled – to be blunt, not one of the people that is demonstrating looks like a normal person. Not one looks normal. They’re all deformed in some way – in their appearance, in their dress, in their mannerism,” he added.
